Jody has been a professional footballer for the past ten years. He was spotted by a talent scout whilst playing amateur football in Bournemouth and quickly moved on to play for Cambridge. After Cambridge he made the Premiership by playing for Sunderland and in 2003 he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers. He plays defence and is renowned for his heading ability.
Jody has always been a keen artist and has been self taught since his early teens. The call of the paintbrush has always been a welcome relief from the stresses and rigours of training and playing football at such a high level.
He has developed a wide range of artistic abilities and styles and on this web site you will find examples of his Contemporary Portraits, Landscapes and various commissions.
Jody does most of his painting at home where he has his own art studio that he shares with his wife Shelley. His inspiration comes from many sources. He collects a large range of pictures from magazines and books and also takes many photos himself. These are frequently used as his reference sources.
